The annual Kool-Aid Days Grand Parade will step off on the CCC Hastings Campus at 9 am on Saturday. Entries from all over Nebraska will include classic cars, mascots, horses, Kool-Aid Days winners, and Kardboard boats getting ready to race on Sunday. The parade will proceed north on South Parade Avenue, then east on North Military Drive and end in the parking lot next to the site of the World’s Largest Kool-Aid Stand. A reviewing stand mid-route will announce each parade unit as it passes.
The finale of the parade will feature the official arrival of Kool-Aid Man, who will lead the parade crowds to the World’s Largest Kool-Aid Stand .
A special note to parade participants and parents of children who will be attending: Parade units are not allowed to throw candy onto the street. They are, however, invited to have people walk alongside their unit, handing candy and other giveaways to children and other parade watchers. We are expecting thousands of young children to attend Kool-Aid Days with their families from a five-state area. For safety and insurance reasons, we don’t want to risk any of those children being injured trying to rescue a piece of candy from in front of a parade vehicle.
There is no charge for non-profit and individual parade entries. Commercial entries are asked for a $25 contribution to the foundation. You can download the parade rules and entry forms below or contact Jessica Rohan at 402-469-3052.Grand Parade Entry Form
