Friday, August 10th

*Hastings Museum Family Fun (#Admission is only $5 per person during Kool-Aid Days! Free activities include Kool-Aid Stand (5 original flavors), Solar Observing (weather permitting), and Watermelon Seed-Spitting Contest. Spitting heats take place each hour based on age. All heat winners are entered into a drawing for the top prize. Separate, special $5 admission required for super screen theatre. Movies and show times available at or 402.461.2399.

Senior Fest  For kids at heart who are 55+.  This free event is specifically geared towards our more experienced Kool-aid drinkers! Play BINGO, drink Kool-Aid, and enjoy the music of Paul Siebert, the Classic Country Cloggers, and maybe win a prize. You will also have an opportunity to purchase Kool-Aid Days collectibles. Hastings City Auditorium, 400 N. Hastings Ave. 2 – 4 PM
Jammers Boat Races Kids 5 to 12 years old race their boats built from Kool-Aid Jammers & Bursts in the Hastings Aquacourt 2200 West 3rd St. Registration starts at 4pm. Races start at 5pm. 3 – 6 PM
Klub Kool-Aid Sneak Peek Event Beat the crowds and see Kool-Aid Man, Poppin’ Penelope’s balloon art, play the indoor games, food & fun during this special Members only event! Memberships available at the door. Become a Member 6 – 8 PM

*Of Course We Can .5K You’ve heard of a 5K, but have you ever run a 0.5K? That’s 1,640.42 feet! Walk, run, skip, or sip at First Street Brewing Company. Race 7PM. Music 9PM – Midnight. 7PM


Saturday, August 11th

*Annual Kool-Aid Classic Bicycle Tour This 20, 40 or 65 mile tour travels scenic paved roads around the Hastings area. Starts behind the Hastings Museum at Highland Park. Registration fee. 402.463.1138 Registration starts 7 AM
Ride at 8AM
*Hastings Farmers Market Area farmers gather in the parking lot behind the Hastings Museum to offer local produce, meats, baked goods and crafts. 8 AM –Noon
*Hastings Museum Family Fun Admission to the Hastings Museum is only $5 per person each day during Kool-Aid Days! Free activities include Kool-Aid Stand (5 original flavors), Solar Observing (weather permitting), and a Watermelon Stress Test. Strap on a pair of safety goggles, then slip a rubber band over a watermelon. At what point will the watermelon give out under the stress? Separate, special $5 admission required for super screen theatre. Movies and show times available at or 402.461.2399.

*Lochland Show & Shine Free admission and registration – open to the public! Located in the Clubhouse parking lot at 601 W Lochland Rd. Participants will receive dash plaques and free pool admission. *Kool-Aid Cruise Join Lochland Country Club in bringing back the Kool-Aid Cruise! The Cruise departs from Lochland (601 W Lochland Rd) and will conclude at Brickyard Park (D St. and Woodland Ave) around 5:30 PM, just in time for Koncert Kool-Aid. The Cruise will include a lap at Motorsports Park Hastings! Registration 10 AM to 4PM. Cruise Departs 4:30 PM
*Nick Hoff: Live at the Lark Local comedian Nick Hoff will come to Hastings for one hilarious night on his nationwide “Too Many Butts Tour”

Kool-Aid Days Grand Parade Marching bands and more from all over Nebraska join the procession down 2nd Street in downtown Hastings to kick off the biggest day of the festival and welcome Kool-Aid Man. Announcer’s stand at 2nd and Denver Avenue.

Festival Food Vendors Shaved Ice, Ice Cream, Funnel Cakes, BBQ, Sandwiches, Pasta & More. South side of Hastings City Auditorium. 9:30 AM – 4 PM
The World’s Largest Kool-Aid Stand Buy a commemorative mug for $2 or $4 (color changing) and drink all you want of 20 flavors of the sweet stuff. Sugar free served all day, too! 9:30 AM – 4 PM
Non-Profit Organization Displays Don’t miss a visit with local non-profits south of the auditorium. Free games and giveaways await! 9:30 AM – 4 PM
The Kool-Aid Days Trolley Free transportation connects Hastings Museum, Lochland Country Club, and Downtown passing the building where Kool-Aid was invented and through the Hastings Central Historic District. 10 AM – 4 PM
Downtown Live Entertainment The Downtown Mainstage features some of the finest talent in Nebraska. Local performers and event finals will light up the stage. The newly crowned Miss Kool-Aid Days will be on stage throughout the day. The Amazing Arthur will perform his high-energy magic act at 10:30 AM and 2 PM. 10 AM – 3:30 PM
 Indoor Games Test your skill and win prizes inside the City Auditorium. Tickets for sale on the field and in the gym. 10 AM –  4 PM
Arts & Krafts Korrider – Vendors from all over the area will have a variety of goods to peruse and purchase. Come see the unique talents and goods! 10 AM –  4 PM
Face Painting – What festival is truly complete without face painting? Choose from a large variety of designs. Requires tickets available on the field or in the auditorium. 10 AM –  4 PM
Poppin’ Penelope – Get your free balloon creation from this amazing balloon artist back for a return engagement. 10 AM-4 PM
Giant Inflatables Fun for kids of all ages. Tickets available on the field and in City Auditorium. 10 AM – 4 PM
Kool-Aid Days Kollectibles Inside and outside the City Auditorium you can buy t-shirts, mugs, yo-yos and many more Kool-Aid Days items! 9:30 am – 4 PM
Kwickest Kool-Aid Drinking Contest Preliminaries Compete to be the fastest Kool-Aid chugger in your age group and advance to the finals. Preliminaries will be held in the park east of the auditorium. 10:30 AM
Kool-Aid Cute Kid Contest Babies and kids in 4 age categories compete for prizes and bragging rights. All CuteKids receive a ribbon of participation. Registration will be upstairs in the City Auditorium, contest will be on the inside Auditorium stage, and winner announcement will be outside on the Main Stage. Registration 11 AM

Kool-Aid Stand, Kollectibles, & Festival Foods – Bring your Kool-Aid mug and enjoy the many flavors of the sweet stuff while listening and enjoying Koncert Kool-Aid! 6 PM-9:30 PM
Koncert Kool-Aid: Luke Mills & Fireworks Spectacular Come celebrate this Nebraska summertime favorite with a homegrown Nebraska country artist: LUKE MILLS! So come kick up your boots and enjoy the World’s Largest Kool-Aid Stand as it moves to the park. Admission is FREE with any Kool-Aid Days 2018 mug or shirt OR $2 (includes coupon for mug). Fireworks to follow concert. Gates open 6PM; Opening act 6:30PM; Luke Mills 7:30PM. Gates open at 6pm.

*Fun in the Sun Car Show Hundreds of classic cars gather at Pastime Lanes Bowling Alley to raise money for Nebraska High School Bowlers. Trophy presentation at 3:30 PM. 402.462.2695 9 AM – 3:30 PM
*Hastings Museum Family Fun  Museum admission is just $5 per person during Kool-Aid Days! For the Egg Drop Challenge, eggs will be dropped from the roof of the Museum. Can you protect your egg? Eggs and materials provided free. Open to first 200 participants. Egg Vessel Assembly 1 PM – 3:30 PM. Drop begins at 3:30 PM. Free activities also include Kool-Aid Stand and Solar Observing (weather permitting). Separate special $5 admission required for the super screen theatre. Kool-Aid 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Run/Walk Starting at the Lake Hastings Picnic Pavillion, follow a 5K or 1 Mile. Prizes for all age divisions. 7:30 AM Registration

Kool-Aid Stand and Kollectibles Bring your Kool-Aid mug and enjoy 6 flavors of the sweet stuff. This is also your last chance to purchase Kool-Aid Kollectibles during the festival. Noon – Until Boat Races End
Festival Foods Lake Hastings Noon–Until Boat Races End
Kool-Aid Kardboard Boats The Kool-Aid Kardboard Boat Races sail Lake Hastings. Trophies awarded in many categories including “Most Spectacular Sinking”. Boats go on display at noon and race heats begin at 2 PM with awards ceremony to follow. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the show. Registration Noon;
