Gather ’round and watch as contestants guzzle Kool-Aid as fast as they they can.
With contestants in four age categories, the preliminaries of this contest are held Saturday morning at 10:30 am on the festival grounds. Finals are held on the Main Stage at 3:30 pm Saturday afternoon during Kool-Aid Days.

Contestants must sign a release form and minors must have that form signed by a parent or guardian.Kwickest Kool-Aid Drinking Contest Rules & Entry Form
The preliminary rounds of the Kwickest Kool-Aid Drinking Contest will be held at the festival on Saturday morning. Registration begins at 10:30 am. Contestants will be asked to form a line and will be called to the stage five at a time. In order to participate, you must complete a release form and fill out an entry form before you will be allowed to compete. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian sign the release and be present when the minor competes. When you’re called to the stage, you’ll choose between two flavors of Kool-Aid. (One flavor will be sugar-free and the Kool-Aid will NOT be iced.) Contestants are timed individually as they guzzle the required amount of Kool-Aid for their age category and are not necessarily competing against each other.
You must finish the entire glass of Kool-Aid, spilling less than 10%, in order for your time to be recorded. The amount of Kool-Aid spilled is decided by the judges or timers and their decisions are final. The names of the five fastest participants in each age category will be announced at the end of the preliminaries and posted on the doors of the City Auditorium by 1 pm or an hour after the completion of the preliminaries, whichever is earlier. FINALISTS WILL NOT BE CONTACTED INDIVIDUALLY.
The Kwickest Kool-Aid Drinking Contest Finals are held on the Main Stage at 3:30 pm on Saturday afternoon. Finalists must be present 30 minutes before that time in order to compete. Finalists are requested to wear white or very light colored clothing to the finals competition. Kool-Aid Days reserves the right to require a finalist to wear a white t-shirt provided by Kool-Aid Days if the contestant is determined to be wearing clothing too dark to show the amount of Kool-Aid spilled in the process of competing. All finalists will receive a prize at the final competition.
The five preliminary winners in each age category will race against each other. The first to finish the entire cup of Kool-Aid for their age category, spilling less than 10% of the Kool-Aid, will win the grand prize in that category, with prizes awarded to the second and third place winners, as well. The amount of Kool-Aid spilled will be determined by an event official, whose decision is final. A contestant who is determined to have spilled 10% or more of the Kool-Aid in his/her cup will be disqualified from winning any additional prizes.
