Come join the celebration!
Please download and submit the Food Vendor Package to be considered for a spot at this year’s Kool-Aid Days Festival.
The 19th annual Kool-Aid Days will be August 12, 13, and 14, 2016 in Hastings, NE. The Kool-Aid Days celebration was started to honor Edwin Perkins who invented the popular drink in 1927. This year’s Big Change is our location!!!!!
Kool-Aid Days has teamed up with Central Community College and will be located on their campus. We are excited about this change as it will allow us to continue to grow the celebration by adding events and more opportunities.
Food vendors are invited to be a part of the activities on Saturday, August 13 from 9 am to 9 pm at the Central Community College Hastings Campus. You will be located near the World’s Largest Kool-Aid Stand, the giant inflatables and the Main Stage. Thousands of young and old Kool-Aid fans will be present.
We have continued to expand our marketing efforts through regional advertising in magazines, newspapers, radio and television. NTV will be providing on-air exposure for three months in advance of the festival. There will be advertising through brochures and post cards distributed at rest stops along Interstate 80. Digital billboards will be seen in Lincoln, Omaha, Kearney and North Platte. This is all in addition to our strong web presence and social media outlets.
Food vendors are also invited to set up Sunday, August 14 at Lake Hastings. There will be a 5K Run/Walk at 9 am, Flying Disc Gold Tournament at 10 am and the Koolaid Kardboard Boat Races at 2 pm.
Preference will be given to vendors who have participated with us in past Kool-Aid Days. Please fill out the application form and release form and mail it to the address on the form by Tuesday, June 30. Be sure to include your registration fees with the application. If you have any questions, call us at 402-461-8405, firstname.lastname@example.org or personally contact Pam on her cell phone 402-705-2708.
*As of April 2016, the City of Hastings is NOT collecting the city occupation tax from food vendors pending a decision about a restaurant tax proposal. Please check back here in case this changes before August.*
